How to test the speed of your blog/web? You may go to go websiteoptimization.com or Firebug. Why is it necessary? The speed test is important as it can determine whether your loading time is fast or slow. Thus, it can save your time and you can view the page faster.
This test may be vary from time to time as you make new entry, add new photos or widgets or any html.
To minimize the usage of your web/blog, you can save your photos in PNG (ping) format. I've mentioned about this in an entry in another blog. You can make a comparison between BMP, JPEG and PNG. The different can be further viewed here.
